More than 30 experiences of the main technological companies have been presented in the Virtual Reality Observatory, among which TVE participates. The cameras of Televisión Española attended the event to show the advances that are taking place in the sector.

The second edition of The Observatory of New Technologies begins tomorrow, Wednesday 18 July, at the Polo de Contenidos Digitales de Malaga, with the participation of multinationals such as Samsung, Nokia, YBVR, Sngular, Grupo Premo, Amfitech and others such as Opossum Studios, Giants Gaming and Versus Gamers.
Among the more than 30 experiences selected in the second edition of The Observatory of New Technologies, some of the most outstanding are internationally awarded and others that have just been launched in Japan.
The newest experiences and the leading companies in Immersive Technologies will meet in the Demo Area, free of charge, of the New Technologies Observatory, where they will present their latest projects.
Fernando M. Sierra, DKC of Virtual Reality Director at SNGULAR, will share with attendees to the Observatory the tool he has developed which allows to manage a museum’s artistic catalogue and configuring different exhibitions and customised galleries by changing their content in real time, easily and intuitively, in a matter of minutes.
The Observatory of New Technologies, which will be held on 18 and 19 July at the Digital Content Pole in Malaga, will also have the participation of the Olympic Channel, represented by Yeray Alfageme, Business Technology Manager.
From the recently created Association of eSports Clubs, to the multinationals Movistar and Vodafone and consulting firms such as Deloitte and Tarkinia, local leagues such as Survival and companies in the sector such as Versus Gamers will make eSports one of the cornerstones of the Virtual Reality Observatory 2018.
SNGULAR, a Spanish multinational with a presence in Mexico and the United States, will present the innovative project developed in conjunction with the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital in Seville, which will facilitate the work of surgeons during an operation using an ALL-IN-ONE system combined with Microsoft Hololens Mixed Reality glasses.
The future of videogames, which generated revenues of more than €1,350 million in 2017 in Spain, will be in-depth analysed by experts at the OVR18 Observatory, which will be held on 18 and 19 July at the Polo de Contenidos Digitales, in Malaga.
NOKIA will present the results of the project “Immersive video in educational environments” for the first time at the VR Observatory. A study developed together with the Alfonso X el Sabio University (UAX) and Banco Santander in which almost 100 students in their final year of Veterinary Science Degree, who are doing internships at the UAX Clinical Veterinary Hospital, have actively participated in the study.
RTVE also joins the second edition of the OVR18 Observatory to explain, with Fran Llorente, the experience and lessons learned in Virtual Reality.
Sngular will present in the VR Observatory Area Demo its star experience, developed with Sony Playstation: Coolpaintr VR. It is a Virtual Reality video game tool that was launched on May 9 worldwide with great download success.
The second edition of the VR Observatory, to be held on 18 and 19 July at the Malaga Content Pole, will feature internationally successful companies such as the Malaga-based multinational Grupo Premo and the Danish company Amfitech.
