José María Moreno Peña is General Director of the Spanish Association of Video Games (AEVI), a position from which he promotes the representation and enhancement of the video game industry in the economic, social and cultural panorama of our country.
In this sense, among the objectives pursued by José María within AEVI are the promotion of plural and responsible consumption of video games, the representation and defence of the interests of the sector and all its agents, collaboration in the development of an innovative national industry that generates wealth and employment and ensuring a sustainable and forward-looking model based on respect for Intellectual Property.
José María Moreno has outstanding experience both in the private sector, especially in the media and digital environment, and in the field of associations.
For the last 3 years he has directed the International Institute for Media Development (IIMD), an organization that provides digital and media consulting services, where he has also undertaken various technological projects.
Previously, for five years, he was Managing Director of WAN-IFRA, the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers, for Ibero-America, consolidating the organization’s presence and growth in the region and advising the media on its transition to new digital models. Previously, he was Head of the television network of Vocento, legal advisor to the same group and lawyer in the Clifford Chance office.
Moreno has a Law Degree from the Complutense University of Madrid, a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management from ESIC, a Master’s degree in Telecommunications Law from ICADE, a PADIB from ISDI, an EDP from Kellogg – Northwestern University (Il, USA) and a Corporate Diplomacy and Public Affairs Postgraduate from Schiller International University.
